Haman Group starts it's 2009 Summertrip - Day 1

Twice a year the Haman Group goes on a trip. First in winter (usually in January) together with the colleagues from the Stockholm office, and again a second time (the Oslo office only) in summer. This year's summertrip has been planned to the Besseggen.

Besseggen, in the Jotunheimen Nationalpark, is the most popular hike in the country, 13.5 km long between Gjendesheim and Mumurubu. 6-8 hours, highest point at the cairn at Veslfjellet, 1,742 m.a.s.l. The narrow and steep ridge lies halfway between the Gjendesheim and Mumurubu.
The Jotuns - trolls - gave their name to the park and the magnificent area, containing Northern-Europe’s highest mountains. Jotunheimen, on the border between the counties of Oppland and Sogn og Fjordane, is a largely undisturbed mountain area full of majestic mountains and glaciers. The Nationalpark contains Norway’s highest mountains: Galdhøpiggen which reaches 2,469 m. It also contains several large lakes, Gjende being the biggest.
