With his song "Fairytale" the Norwegian violinist Alexander Rybak ensured the first place during the 2009 Eurovision Songcontest and brought the European music event to Oslo in 2010. Of course, a big event in Oslo! For several days, a couple of weeks, everything in Oslo was about Eurovision, they played the Norwegian contestant's song 10 times a day in the radio and wherever you went and looked you saw the Eurovision logo and colours. The Eurovision village built up with a huge stage close to my home at "Rådhusplassen" at the harbour hosted several artists and contestants giving concerts since last week.
Here a picture from the welcome reception at the Oslo City Hall.

In relation to this there are many events organised all around in town. So did also Lufthansa. A party at the Clarion Collection Hotel Folketeatret. The theme: glamour!... and of course Eurovision.
A colleague of mine, Stéphanie, got the invitation and asked me and a friend of hers, one of our tour guides, to join her. Here some pictures of the evening:
Before going to the party we met all together in the office
At the party:

In the past years I couldn't care less about the Eurovision Songcontest. But since it took place in Oslo this year I admit I was a bit more into the whole thing than in previous years.
The venue: the Telenor Arena
However, until Saturday noon I haven't even heard Lena's song.

... and in the end "Lena, unser Star für Oslo" made it :-)
