As Franck family left - without him - on holidays, he used the occasion of having trouble-free digs to invite the team of Terra Nova to his place, for a "French" evening... in honour of the French National Day. Actually the French National Day is on July 14, but some of the students already had some plans for that evening so that Franck anticipated it to the 13th of July.
So after work, at 6 p.m., we - Stéphanie, Clément, Clém(ent), Sonia, Anaïs and me - commonly took the T-bane line 3 to Bøler station where Franck picked us up.
He lives in a nice residential area in the lower part of a green coloured wooden "double-house" with terrace and little garden, inside nicely decorated and welcoming.
We were welcomed with some snacks, apéritif and fois gras on toast accompanied by the warm evening sun on the terrace.
Later on Franck prepared some entrecôtes on the BBQ which we had inside with french fries and insalata caprese (tomato, mozzarella and basil).
For dessert, we had dipped tasty Norwegian strawberries into chocolate and Franck contributed with some ice cream later on.
Of course the whole evening was also accompanied by (quite a few) drinks...typical French ones.
So we spent the whole evening eating, drinking and chatting a lot in great atmosphere. The evening was so nice that over all that talking and discussing we totally forgot the time.
Eventually it became so late that we had all missed our last public transport. Thus the two Clément stayed over at Franck's place while we four girls took a taxi back to town.
I finally was in bed at 2 a.m.... and back in the office at 9 a.m. again!
This was a really nice evening! Thanks a lot, Franck, for this invitation!!!
VIVE LA FRANCE!
