Haman 50

Year 2014 - our company celebrates 50 years of existance :-)
This was celebrated with a party in November - with colleagues and (a selection of important) clients.
The event was taking place in Stockholm on Sunday 23rd of November. I used the occasion of this event being on a Sunday to fly already over to Stockholm on Friday afternoon to visit my friend and colleague Moritz and his girlfriend Anne.
It got quite late until I had actually arrived at their place on the island of Vaxholm. Moritz had picked me up at the airport (otherwise I would never had found my way) and we went out for dinner, had some chats and played a round of "Carcassonne" while Anne was still attending an event with her company. Then in three we ended a long day with some wine, catching up and exchanging news.
That was already a nice evening, but a breakfast in pyjamas with scrumbled eggs (wow, I figured out I'm not the only freak eating them with ketchup) and FRESHLY baked pancakes was really special :-)

After breakfast and dressed we had a little walk around the area. It was certainly not the most beautiful day, but great to catch some fresh air.

Later on I went to Stockholm downtown to meet other friends: Gerlinde (a colleague as well) and her family. Together with her, her husband Mike and their two kids we met downtown for a little stroll through the Christmas lit up streets. At one point a "café on wheels", this ancient tram turned into a café running through town. We spoilt ourselves with some pastries and hot chocolate.

In the early evening the "business part" of this weekend started. The actual event for the company's anniversary was set on Sunday, but most clients already arrived in Stockholm the evening before. So we from Terra Nova had organized an evening together with our clients which we started with an "apéritif" at the IceBar...

...continued with a sea food (that is for me "fiskegrateng") dinner at the nearby restaurant "Hearts"...

...and ended with some more drinks at some other bar.

Sunday 23rd of November we all came together, with all our colleagues and some of their clients to start the anniversary celebrations with a guided sightseeing tour of Stockholm.

Afterwards, lunch at Dramaten, the Royal Dramatic Theatre.

And in the afternoon a boats tour through the Stockholm archipelago.
