Below some pictures from the days in Milano and from our weekend.
The Duomo.
Good morning! View from the hotel during my early breakfast.
View from our hotel room - Piazza Duca D'Aosta in front of the central station.
Along the "Navigli" (lit. = the canals) area in Milano which is full of restaurants and bar and very lively nightlife.
Here we had dinner on Wednesday evening at a typical Sicilian restaurant called "Siciliano" managed by a friend of Marco. Very authentic Sicilian place: menu written in Sicilian dialect ("pisci friùtu/autri cosi boni"), food only and entirely typical Sicilian cuisine, pictures on the walls all from Sicilian places... Really recommended :-)
After having finished the work part of this trip on Friday evening the private part started and we went for dinner with friends, Pietro and Maria, at the cosy "La Piccola Ischia" restaurant.
Saturday we made a day trip together with Pietro and Maria to the Como Lake.
First stop: the village of Bellagio.
In the afternoon we then drove further on along the lake...
...until we arrive at the town of Como.
Back in Milano we met my friends Carla and Inema. Together we went for dinner at the Roman restaurant "Giulio Pane e Ojo" where we often go when in Milano. So great to see them again :-)
Thanks, Pietro and Maria, for hosting us over the weekend and taking us to the Lago di Como. That was a great day!
Next day, on Sunday, flight back to Oslo.
Thanks goes to Marco and Pietro whose pictures I partially used on this blog.
