Spring day with Ines & Ricardo

What a beautiful sunny spring day this was!!! This really felt like summer now :-) 25 degrees, sunshine pure, out with friends... Lovely!
We had invited our friends Ines & Ricardo over to our place. Well, actually we had also invited Sona & Hugo as well as Ginta & Hadrien. But they were all busy that day/weekend.
Initially we had planned a dinner on Saturday, which we then switched to a lunch on Sunday, which eventually turned out to be the neither of the two (or rather a mix of it).
Since the weather was simply too beautiful to spend the time inside at a table (and our sun flooded balcony didn't comfortably host 4 people for a full meal) we decided to begin just with the starter for lunch. We still had the fridge full of various hams and cheeses brought along from recent visits to Italy and Spain which we wanted to share with our friends.
About an hour later the sunshine drew us out of the house, for some sunbathing in the nearby Sofienberg park, followed by a walk around our beautiful neighbourhood and the first ice cream of the season :-)

Later in the evening we came back to our place to continue our 3-courses meal with enchiladas as main course and a home made apple tart with vanilla custard for dessert.
Guess it was only 11 p.m. (and still pretty light outside!) when we realized that it was maybe time to end the evening and head to bed.

This was such a great day! So good to fill up with so much sun (actually already during the whole long weekend) and catch up with friends we hadn't met in weeks now.
The only sad thing about this weekend was the news that Ines & Ricardo will partially move back to Portugal as Ines' own shoe label (Guava) has it's core business taking place in Portugal. For Ines, living in Norway is counterproductive for her work and her brand. They will only sporadically be back in Oslo as Ricardo will keep on working for his Oslo based employer. I will miss those many occasions we used to have to meet, hang out together, spontaneously spend weekends at some beach...
Without doubt always with good and understandable reasons, but (repeatedly) having good friends leaving Oslo... it's just not my favourite :-(

SUMMER, WE MISSED YOU AND ARE (MORE THAN) READY NOW FOR YOU! SO JUST COME AND STAY, pleeeeeeaaaaase!
