Beitostølen skiing with friends

March, finally we were heading with our friends for a skiing weekend together in Beitostølen, a popular (but small!) winter ski resort at the border of the Jotunheimen Nationalpark, some 230km/3,5 hours drive north of Oslo.
We had rented a super cosy "hytte" (cabin) through AirBnb.

We left in 6 from Oslo. Ines and Ricardo had already arrived beginning of the week to enjoy some relaxing days of holidays. So when we arrived on Friday evening, they had already prepared yummy dinner for us :-)
Enjoying the time together!

On Saturday, while some went downhill skiing...

...and others preferred cross-country skiing, Marco - who couldn't join either group because of back problems - went taking some pictures of the surrounding winter landscape.

Well deserved beer after the work out on the slopes.
On Saturday, apart from Riccardo and Marco, we were all hitting the cross-country slopes together. I really try to like this sport, but I just so totally suck in it.
Some more fun in between!
Exhausted, on the last few metres...
...before heading back towards Oslo.

Always so great to spend time with friends!!! That was the part I liked most about this weekend. I do love downhill skiing, but Beitostølen with its few slopes is just too small to really enjoy the skiing as it became pretty repetitive. Always the same lift up and the same slope down. That became actually so boring that a timewise quite extended drink in the sun was much more attractive.

(Thanks Marco, Sona, Ginta and Hugo for letting me use your pictures!)
