This time the huge and well-known hotel chain Choice invited. On Thursday 01 October a very international group of about 50 people leaves for a 4-day tour.
And this is the programme:
Thursday 01.10.09
17:00 Meet at Oslo Gardermoen Airport
18:30 Flight DY626 with Norwegian Airlines to Bergen Flesland
19:25 Arrival at Bergen Airport, pickup luggage and walk to nearby Clarion Hotel Bergen Airport, ckeck-in and a few minutes to freshen up in the room
20:15 Meet in the lobby for a brief inspection of the hotel followed by dinner and overnight
Friday 02.10.09
Breakfast at the hotel
09:00 Meet the bus driver and transfer with him to the Quality Hotel Edvard Grieg
09:15 Hotel inspection
10:00 Continue by bus to the city centre, pick up an authorized Bergen guide on the way
10:30 Hotel inspection at the Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret
11:00 Together with the local guide stroll along Bergen Bryggen...
... and through the famous Bergen fish market together with the guide
12:00 End up at the Clarion Hotel Admiral for hotel inspection and lunch
13:00 Transfer to the Comfort Hotel Holberg for yet another hotel inspection
14:00 Leave Bergen for the fjords and travel north to the Sognefjord
16:00 Short ferry crossing from Oppedal to Lavik...
...and continue a couple of hours along the coast...
...to the coastal town of Florø.
18:00 Check-in at the Quality Hotel Florø and time to freshen up in the room
18:50 Walk over to the nearby Comfort Hotel Florø for inspection and cocktail
19:45 Return to our Quality Hotel Florø for dinner and overnight
Saturday 03.10.09
Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Drive to Førde for inspection of the Quality Hotel Førde
10:40 Drive from Førde via Skei to Fjærland...
... where we have a short photo stop at the Bøyabreen Glacier, an arm of the Jostedalsbreen which is the largest glacier in continental Europe.
11:40 Pay a visit to the Glacier Museum and then proceed through the tunnel to Sogndal
12:45 Lunch and inspection of the Quality Hotel Sogndal
14:15 Leave Sogndal...
...and take the ferry across the Sognefjord from Mannheller to Fodnes...
...and drive to Fagernes in the Valdres region.
17:30 Approximate arrival time in Fagernes, check-in for overnight at Quality Hotel & Resort Fagernes
Some free time I used for walking around the lake behind the hotel.
19:00 Meet in the lobby for inspection of the hotel followed by dinner
After dinner it's party time!
Sunday 04.10.09
Breakfast at the hotel
08:45 Departure from Fagernes and drive through the regions of Valdres and Hallingdal... and if you remember from my previous post from the Terra Nova FAM trip: this region looked still quite different just 6 days earlier, without snow and immersed in beautiful autumn colours!
... and now:
11:00 Inspection and early lunch at Quality Spa & Resort Norefjell in Noresund
12:30 Leave Norefjell and drive to Hønefoss for inspection at Comfort Hotel Ringerike
14:00 Drive from Hønefoss to Oslo Gardermoen Airport, drop off of those leaving Oslo by plane
16:15 Arrival in the city centre of Oslo at Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania
