On Wednesday, right after my return from the holidays, there was a free concert at Rådhusplassen. The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir invited to Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
The whole Rådhusplassen was full and even the Queen of Norway came to attend this musical event. Audrey managed to get some seats for us on the few benches right in front of the stage, so just a couple of metres behind the Queen.
It's so different to other countries where such an important person would never be so close to the public, with such little fuss around. It seemed such a normal thing that she was just "among us", only little protected by some bodyguard.
It was a really nice concert, with - of course - great music. I just didn't like the soprano. She was singing a bit too high and dominantly for my taste.
After the concert everyone went home. Not even 5 minutes after the last note played, a heavy rain started. Though just living around the corner, I didn't make it home dry.
