Gressholmen sunbathing and BBQ

Actually Jana, Audrey and I wanted to do the famous Rallarvegen cycling tour this weekend. However, for several reasons we couldn't do it: bad weather forecasts, no more bikes available, no places anymore on the train back to Oslo, inconvenient train times in general... So we decided to postpone this tour. Unfortunately the Rallarvegen season is very short (mid-July to beginning of September), because the rest of the year a part of it is located pretty high and thus covered by snow. And since there is no more weekend we all three will be free to do it, we have to forward this excursion to next year :-(

However, Oslo's weather forecast was much better. So the alternative programme was sunbathing, BBQ and swimming at one of the islands in the Oslofjord.

Jana actually started the day with baking some biscuits for this afternoon :-)

Then later, at 2 p.m., she and I met up in front of a supermarket getting the things we need for a good BBQ and then went off with one of the boats to the island Gressholmen.

After some walking we found a suitable place to stay and enjoy the sun and some food.
Audrey joined later and we stayed until the evening.
Of course, after two weeks of holidays in Croatia and Sicily I'm a bit used to different kind of beaches, but this one was doing fine as well :-)
We had a really great afternoon.

The difference of Jana and me having just spent two weeks holidays at the beach :-)
