A shuttle bus would bring us directly from Oslo to the Vikersundbakken, the ski jump in Vikersund, which is actually the world's largest ski flying hill!
The world record in ski flying on this hill is set at 246.5 metres!!!
The tickets we had were for the group competition held on the Sunday, not for the individual jumps they had the day before.
It was a gorgeous day with lovely weather and we fully enjoyed this excursion.

No worries, noone got hurt and now is transported away by helicopter. They just flew in some VIP, some well known presenter or so. Just to show off a bit :-)
The competition starts with skiers rushing down the hill with the flags of the participating nations.
Just landed.
Please note: Germany ranked first :-)
The German team of Severin Freund, Maximilian Mechler, Richard Freitag and Andreas Wank on the screen.
The ceremony for the winners.
1. Austria (middle) / 2. GERMANY (left) :-) / 3. Slovenia(right)
Just amazing to see how they literally FLY, hanging in the air for what seems an eternity!
