Trysil skiing with Audrey

Last year we had organised that great skiing weekend with a bigger group to Geilo. It was so nice to leave in a group, renting a cabin for all together. It creates a really nice and social atmosphere and we wanted to repeat such weekend.
Due to so many already planned weekends, we had chosen two alternative dates in march. Unfortunately, all the people we asked to join either had other plans on those weekends or didn't have the financial means to join this time.
So in the end it was only Audrey and me who were still in for this adventure - and I organised us a good accomodation deal in Trysil, where we had been for our company trip in February, at the Radisson Blu Resort.
The deal was even better when we figured out upon arrival that for the price we even got a suite :-)

So, the weekend Audrey and I had chosen was the first one of March. On Friday 02/03 after work we took the Trysileskpressen shuttle bus to Trysil. It brought us to the ski resort within 3 hours, so right on time to still enjoy some dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The two days skiing in Trysil were really nice, from the point of weather and also of the slopes. The sun was shining and Audrey and I complement each other very well on the slopes: we have the same speed, like the same slopes and appreciate both a cup of hot chocolate after the a day out on the skis :-)

We were totally amazed by those young little guys doing some free style jumps - as if it would be the most natural thing on earth to flip and turn while flying with a board through the air.

The initial plan for Saturday evening was to allow ourselves a hot stone massage in the spa area of the hotel. Prices were actually quite affordable and reasonable for a 50 minutes treatment. Unfortunately, though, they had no free places available anymore and so we changed the idea to just enjoying the pretty huge pool area instead.

However, before doing so, I had an appointment with the sales manager of the two Rezidor hotels in Trysil for a visit of the hotels. She is our contact at work and so it was her to give me that great deal for overnight stay at the hotel.
We visited the entire Radisson Blu Resort and then even the newly built Park Inn hotel.

The girl was so enthusiastic about showing me "her" two hotels that I spent about 2 hours with her - while Audrey was just waiting for me to come back to go to the pool. But by the time I was "released" from the site inspections it was too late to enjoy the pool :-(
So that evening we only went to the after-ski bar for some dinner and then went to bed.

So all in all Audrey and I we really enjoyed the weekend skiing, but with this ski trip we officially ended the skiing season. Looking forward to the next one. You'll definitely find Audrey and me again on the slopes next winter! Hopefully next time again with a bigger group of people!
