So I had organised a weekend mid March to Hemsedal. We ended up being in six and the majority of us hadn't been to the ski resort of Hemsedal yet.
While to colleagues of Audrey rented a car, Audrey, Vanesa, Marco and I took the bus on Friday 15/03 afternoon from Oslo bus station to Hemsedal, some 250km Northwest of Oslo. The bus ride took us nearly 4 hours for this distance of 250km... a distance which would have been covered in Germany in less then 2 hours! But well, we were driving on Norwegian roads... which are definitely not highways, but rather single-lane roads with a speed limit of 60-80km/h.
Unfortunately the weather didn't look promising at all on the way to Hemsedal.
Arrival in Hemsedal at around 6 p.m. followed by dinner in our nice cabin - with straight view of the slopes.
The next morning looked much better weather-wise and indeed we had quite a nice day of skiing :-)
Sunday was pretty foggy, instead :-( The thick fog forced us to stay pretty much down in the valley on lower placed slopes as all our tours further up ended in a total invisibility. You couldn't see very much further than to points of your skis...
Despite the fog on Sunday, we had a great time. It was really a nice weekend :-) Thanks amore mio, Vanesa, Audrey, Marisa and Greg for joining!
