For a phantastic good year 2015 at work, our boss invited us mid november for a "
champagne and spa weekend" to the
Norefjell Ski & Spa Resort in Norefjell (some two hours drive away from Oslo).
Upon arrival we checked in at the hotel and got ready for a little walk in the area.
Lunch break.
In the afternoon Aurélie, Caroline and Stéphanie relaxed/slept, while Franck, Emmanuel and I went to the spa. Only Franck, though, had managed to get a spa treatment. I tried to subscribe as well for a massage, but that had already been booked out long time in advance (Franck had just booked it even earlier). So Emmanuel and I tried the saunas and pool before we met the three of us in the snow-surrounded outside jacuzzi: with the body in 38°C warm bobbling water, the head outside in -15°C cold air and a beer in the (=Franck's and Emmanuel's) hand! I think we stayed there for at least one hour :-)
Back from the spa we reunited all six in Franck's and Emmanuel's suite to start the evening with some snacks (fois gras, french pâté, chips/crackers and baguette) and one...two...three...four...bottles of (real and good!) champagne - well, it was a "champagne weekend" after all :-)
At 8 p.m. we had a table reservation for a 3-courses dinner at the hotel restaurant. Nice food accompanied with some wine and more chatting and having fun.
After dinner we stopped by the piano bar to have some last drinks before heading to bed after a very nice day among colleagues.
Sunday we just checked out and drove back to Oslo.
