Julebord 2016: Christmas dinner with Ginta and Hadrien & Paolo and Marina

There's nothing better in Christmas time than gathering with friends for a Christmas dinner, sit in their cosy, warm homes with lovely Christmas decorations and have a great time while enjoying delicious food.
Two weeks after our Christmas lunch with our friends Sona & Hugo, Ginta & Hadrien and Ines & Ricardo, we gathered for another Christmas feast with friends. Together with our friends Paolo and Marina we were invited to Ginta's and Hadrien's place who hosted the dinner. This was yet another fantastic evening in good company, with very nice food and much fun (especially with the "Secret Santa" game which we introduced now also to Paolo and Marina). Below picture was sent to us from Ginta and brings it pretty much to the point :-)

A few impressions of the evening.

Apéritif with various Italian cold cuts, truffle cheese, filled "piadina", bruschetta, frois gras and salmon titbits - served with a (pretty strong, but very fruity and nice) Christmas punch à la Ginta.

Time for the main: juicy duck, baked apples and mashed potatos!

Paolo and Marina preparing the delicious dessert: vanilla ice cream with crushed meringues, juicy strawberries (frozen and then slightly warmed up) and topped with whipped cream, pomegranate seeds and a waffle cone biscuit. Hmmmm!

Thank you Ginta, Hadrien, Marina, Paolo and amore mio for the nice evening :-)

(Thanks to Marco for nearly all the pictures.)
