Shortly after we had entered the museum we attended a Christmas concert held inside one of the many buildings, in perfect timing to escape from the rain.
It was a very very nice concert featuring traditional Christmas songs from all over the world, performed by the soprano singer Helga Johanne Størdal together with the Trio Serafino of three sisters playing violin, cello and piano.
Warming up!
Traditional "lefse" baking. Lefse are a very flat/thin and relatively sweet bread, here baked in the open fire and served hot with melting butter.
Another Christmas concert...
...of a girls choir.
After the Christmas market at the museum we stopped by Ines and Ricardo (who had by now made it out of bed :-) ) for a warming cup of tea where we were also joined by Hadrien. As Ines and Ricardo already had plans for the evening, we then went on into town to meet with some others.
We were eventually seven and on search for a nice place to have dinner tonight. Only that it was Saturday evening and the period of the very popular Christmas dinners in the restaurants and thus not easy at all to find spontaneaously a table somewhere. At last we went a bit further north of the city centre, to Torshov, where we had a really good dinner the small bistro "Grisen" right in front of Ginta's and Hadrien's house. We were really positively surprised of this place and still had a very nice evening together.
