Sonia's bachelorette party

On October 14th this year, my dear friend Sonia is getting married to our friend Hugo :-) Her sister Eva, who was for a visit in Oslo this last weekend of September, had organised a bachelorette/hen party for Sonia.
The party started at the apartment of our friend Ricardo who was so nice to leave his apartment to us for celebrating while spending the day and evening somewhere else.
So that Saturday morning we friends of Sonia already met earlier in order to decorate Ricardo's apartment with balloons, paper chains and photos of us with Sonia and to set up the brunch buffet.

Then at 11 a.m. Sonia's sister Eva brought Sonia with an excuse to Ricardo's apartment and: SURPRISE!!! :-)

Some sparkling and yummy snacks to start this special day.
At 1 p.m. we left Ricardo's place and went for a one hour belly dance class in the city. Very interesting and fun, learning a small choreography on "Simarik" by Tarkan (a song that was super popular end of the 90's).

After the belly dance class we had booked Marco as photographer (Marco Cabone Photography) to take some pictures of this special day for Sonia. He picked us up from the dance course and we walked together from there over Karl Johans gate to the Royal Palace and to its park which presented itself already in beautiful autumn colours.

During this day Sonia had to complete a few tasks. One of them was to take a picture with someone else having a bachelor/ette party - and on the way up to the Royal Palace we crossed this guy accompanied by his friends, likewise celebrating before getting married.
In front of the Royal Palace we didn't really manage to take a picture of us as for some reason we, that is Sonia and Eva's baby, attracted the attention of a bunch of Asian tourists that literally ran towards us to take pictures of Sonia and the baby... First it was just a few around, but quickly it was a whole bus group coming closer. Super annoying, importunate and impolite! So we just "escaped".

Right next to the Royal Palace is Ricardo's apartment located where we went back to have some coffee and cakes.

Next on the programme: Vestkantbadet spa, an old bath from the 1930's, which we had privatised for three hours.
It has a sauna an ice-cold pool, showers and a relaxing area where you can have your own food and drinks.
We had some bottles of prosecco and brought some sushi and Asian noodle wok along for dinner.
Three of us, including Sonia, also enjoyed a great massage there. Very good!

On our way back to Ricardo's apartment, Sonia had received a gift from a friend that couldn't make it to join the party that needed to be opened in public: a box full of erotic accessories.
Back at Ricardo's apartment we had some more drinks and snacks as well as a quiz. Some days before Ginta had interviewed Hugo about some things about Sonia. Sonia that evening had to reply to the same questions - to see how far future wife and husband agree on things and how much they know about each other :-) Funny!

The evening ended around midnight for the last ones of us. We eventually didn't go out dancing anymore, but I think it was still a great end of the day and that Sonia enjoyed her day.

Sonia, I hope you had a fantastic day!!! Eva with little Zoja, Ginta, Siril, Zhaidary, Mónica, Sofia, and I, we are so happy for you and Hugo and wish you all the best for your future as Mrs. Passos!

(Thanks to Eva and Mónica and especially Marco Carbone Photography for letting me share some of your pictures here on this blog.)
