Just incredible: this day is now the third day in a row that we meet up doing something together, and also the 7th time in the last 10 days... But we simply do enjoy our friendship and thus spending time together, having fun, talking about this and that and laughing.
So, let's see how this day started:
Having been to bed quite late after Jana's dinner yesterday night, I was totally not able to react to Jana's sms that arrived at around 10:30 a.m. this morning. Half asleep I could read that she wrote something about "nice weather outside" and "Tim proposed to walk from Sognsvann to Ullevålseteren". I put my mobile aside again, closed my eyes for another 30 minutes until it suddenly came to my mind again that I had received that sms from Jana asking me to join them at 12:30 at the Nationaltheatre. I opened my eyes, checked the time, the weather outside and my mood and came to the conclusion that it would indeed be nice to go for that sunday walk. ...but before I really felt like closing my eyes again for another 30 minutes!
Then, though, I forced myself out of my cosy, warm bed, prepared myself for going out and met up with Jana at Nationaltheatre station. Also Moritz came. And all three of us had the same situation this morning: woken up by that sms (Jana from Tim and then Moritz and I from Jana) and initially not able to react because too tired.
Anyway, we took the metro line 3 up to Sognsvann where we would also meet up with Tim.
While waiting for him we realised we wouldn't be the only ones using this nice weather for a walk around Sognsvann. The lake and it's sourrounding are a really popular place to spend a nice Sunday with family, kids, friends or strolling hand in hands with your partner...
Eventually Tim arrived and we started walking alongside the lake.

At the northern point of Sognsvann we continued walking straight ahead along another two lakes, the Lille (small) St. Aklungen and the Store (big) Aklungen being already pretty frozen.
After a 7.5 km walk we finally arrive at Ullevålseteren, a cabin/hytta/kind of cottage where we enjoyed some hot chocolate, coffee and the so typical norwegian waffles with jam. It was soooo good to sit down there and warm up again. On our way up there, which partially even led through woods with not much sun, it became actually quite cold.
After some more talking, that refreshment and warming up, we walked all the way back to Sognsvann. It was already getting dark. On the way back we seemed to be a bit quicker. Maybe it was the cold penetrating our clothes that made us speed up!?
Also the way back offered a beautiful scenery, pictures of the sunset behind the trees on the opposite side of the lake.
After a walk of approx. 15 km we reached the metro station again and (except for Tim who took came by car) took the train back to Oslo downtown where we separated and all went home.
We had been out now for about 5 hours and though it was relatively freeyzingly cold, it was a great day, again with good conversations and a lot of fun... As usual :-) So thanks to Tim, the initiator of this excursion, for this lovely Sunday!
