On the 8th of May it is my boss's birthday. This year he turned 40 and his family from France came over for a surprise party.
The 8th was only a Sunday, but on Friday his mother some borthers and sisters, nieces and nephews had arrived from France. They had organised a room at the Clarion Hotel Royal Christiania which is close to our office. Also Franck's wife and children came to the hotel. They had cakes, snacks, pastries and of course champagne.
Franck didn't know anything about all this and it was hsi colleague's task to bring him to the hotel without knowing.
So on Friday after work Stéphanie had blindfolded him and together with the trainees we went out with him on the streets. We turned him around and instead of heading straight to the hotel we led him in various directions around several blocks in order to make him loose the orientation. Still with eyes covered we reach the Clarion Royal Christiania, take him up the elevator and to the room where his family was waiting.
It was really a great surprise for him; he didn't expect anything!
