Hovedøya swim

Was this going to be another weekend full of sun in Oslo?
It looked like it! So Marco and I prepared for another BBQ-beach-experience in the Oslofjord. Again we took the boat out to Hovedøya island. This time we went a bit further than the main beach we went to last weekend and ended up at a pretty tiny beach with only a few people.

For a short time we could really enjoy the nice warm weather. Marco even went for his first swim in the Norwegian sea :-)

Words of a Sicilian: "It's not as cold as I expected and after a while you get used to the temperature!"

Just after about an hour of sunbathing the beautiful sun unfortunately left and was replaced by pretty ugly clouds which even brought some raindrops. What a pity! The day had started so well...

Under these conditions, though, we refrained from having our planned BBQ on the beach and took the next boat back home again. We had the BBQ then in a nearby park instead.
