Julebord 2016: Christmas lunch with friends

Just two days after our "julebord" in the office, we also united with our dear friends to celebrate Christmas before everyone of us heads home for the Christmas holidays.
After our Christmas dinner having been hosted in previous years at our and also at Ginta's and Hadrien's place, it was this year Sona and Hugo who invited - to their new apartment in Fornebu they had bought and moved in just a month before.

The main dish! No worries, we got it served a bit more well done than it still looked like in the morning before it got deliciously cooked in the oven and then served with potatoes and salad :-)
The highlight of that evening, however, was actually not the lamb shank, but the lovely news that Sona and Hugo got engaged :-) Hugo had proposed to Sona just the evening before.

Sincere CONGRATULATIONS to the two of you!!!
It was Marco who took these nice "engagement" pictures on their balcony.

That is really such great news and I'm really happy for our two dear friends :-)
They're actually the first of the four couples of us that will get married.

After dinner we played the long waited for "Secret Santa" game. Everyone brought a wrapped, unpersonalized and gender unspecific present and with a dice and a timer everyone played and fought for his favourite present. When the alarm rang, I had a puzzle and some marzipan Christmas chocolate in my hands that were now mine :-)

Is this...
...the effect of all the wine we drank???

Thanks, guys for yet another great evening with a lot of fun - and these fantastic news!

MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody!

(Thanks to Marco for the pictures!)
