So same procedure as every year: we celebrated with a Christmas dinner ("julebord" in Norwegian) in our office with all the colleagues and trainees. The organizing team had also this year taken care of lovely decoration and setting up our conference and lunch room for the party.
The festive dinner menu is every year composed of the single contributions of each colleague. In a very international team where many try to prepare something typical from their home country, it always turns out to be a great choice of dishes from all over Europe. After several protests for preparing it in the office kitchen as its preparation smells A LOT, also the traditional Norwegian Christmas dish "pinnekjøtt" found its way on the menu (thanks to Franck who sacrified his own kitchen at home to prepare it).
At 14:30 the party could begin - with some drinks as apéritif.
I assume you can guess "red" was the theme of this year's Christmas dinner party.
Me with our trainee Adriana - who actually comes from Germany (for the first time not a French student), from my home area. She is the daughter of a friend of my mum :-)
Our trainees this winter.
After dinner and a quiz about interesting and funny secrets about our colleagues it's time for presents. First by exchanging through the super funny "Secret Santa" game small presents among each other which you play for with a dice.Second round of presents: the gift from our CEO Annette. These many packages contained a set of cheese knives and a marble cutting tray for everyone.
The "Haman" girls.
(Thank you Allison for letting me have and use your picture, I think it's great!)
The team Terra Nova wishes MERRY CHRISTMAS to every one :-)
